Where to start?

If you need to rehome your dog, our team will be on hand to help make the process as simple and minimally stressful as possible.

Our first step would be to get you to fill out our Surrender Request Form using the link below. Once we have received this, one of our team will be in touch to discuss your dog, any training needs they have and our availability for spaces.

We will then need to organise an assessment where we'll as you to bring your dog to us, meet one of our team and we'll do a basic assessment to assess your dog and the needs they have. This includes assessing any training needs they have when they come to us.

Once this is done, we'll organise a time for a pick up once a space is available and your dogs journey to finding a new home will begin.

Their Hopeful Hounds journey...

Training

All of the dogs we work with stay with us for a minimum of one month to get one to one training time with our team. This is a chance for us to get to know them really well and really know what kind of home will be perfect for them. They'll get basic training and if they aren't ready, they stay a little longer until they are.

2

Fostering

Once they've completed their one month with our training team, if they don't have a placement lined up, sometimes they'll go and stay with one of our amazing foster families! They'll live in a family home with experienced foster families who will continue their training whilst they wait for their forever homes.

3

Adoption

Once they have a viable placement, our team will vet every home thoroughly to ensure they are the very best placement for them. Our dogs all go on at least a 6 week trial to ensure this home is the right one for them and we offer support for life to new adopters as well as a rescue back up space for any of the dogs we place.

Availability and Wait List

As we are currently a small, home run rescue, we are extremely limited to the number of spaces we are able to offer to dogs at one time. At the moment, we only have 2 spaces available to offer to dogs at one time.

At the current moment, we are FULL and operating on a wait list. Please contact a member of the team for more information.

Once you have reached out to our team, we'll be in touch to discuss availability and your placing on the wait list if you choose to go onto it. We'll keep in touch and update you as you wait and will take your dog on as soon as we have space to do so.
