Our Process

We created our rehoming process with our dogs best interests at heart! So please take some time to familiarise yourself with the process so you're ready for the next steps!

First Steps

If you like the look of one of our dogs, you can apply to adopt them using our interest form.

Once you've applied to adopt one of our dogs, one of our team will be in contact to discuss your application and arrange a meet and greet.

When we meet, you'll get a chance to discuss the dog and if we all think you are a good fit, we'll arrange a home check prior to your first trial period!

1

Home Check

Prior to any dog going out on trial, our team will need to home check the place where the dog will be staying. This is to assess the safety and suitability of the home, recommend any chances necessary and get you and your family ready for taking on a new dog! You can ask questions during this too.

2

Trial Period

Every dog has at the minimum a 6 week trial period. This gives you as new owners the chance to get to know your dog, see if they're a good fit and get any support you need to make changes. Some dogs will have other trial periods prior to this to help them to adjust as best they can.

3

Adoption

At the end of your 6 week trial, you'll meet with your rescue coordinator to sign the paperwork for adoption! Don't panic, our team are still here to help and offer lifetime support and offer a rescue back up space for all dogs we place in case the home is no longer suitable.
