Our 2024 goals!

As January has now come to an end - we thought it would be a good time to assess what goals we have for 2024 as a new rescue facility so we can look back at the end of the year and see all that we have achieved!

1. Rescue, rehabilitate and rehome 12 dogs in total throughout 2024

As a small rescue with limited spaces at the current moment, we are only able to work with 2 dogs at a time currently. However, this doesn't mean we won't be focusing our resources on the dogs who come into our care to help them find the perfect forever home! If we have our goal as rehoming 12 dogs this year, that is a great starting point with the limited resources we have at the moment and can only grow as the rescue grows!

2. Gain one more foster family

One other goal we have at the moment is to grow our foster family community. At the moment, with us running the rescue from home, I am limited in how many dogs I can have in our care at one time and so in order to help more dogs at a time, we need foster families who are able to take care of dogs whilst they are looking for homes! Now we are a little more picky with our foster families than other rescues may be but that is simply because a lot of the dogs we work with have either behavioral issues or have had little to no training and so we need foster families who are able to continue the work we start with them to get our dogs ready for their new homes. However, this is something we will be looking to grow as we progress through the year.

3. Start a YouTube channel to share our journey

One thing I'd love to do is start up a Hopeful Hounds YouTube channel so our followers can be a part of our journey as we grow! This as it grows could also lead to a great source of a little bit of income for the rescue if we eventually reach the stage of monetization but the main goal is to get people to know more about the work we are doing and share our journey as we begin to grow the rescue.

4. Gain 100 followers on Facebook

Another important step is getting the rescue known and so we'd love to reach 100 followers on Facebook by the end of 2024! The more people who know about us, the more views our dogs will get and the more views they get, the more likely they will get a viable application. So one of our goals of this year is to increase the number of people following our rescue so that more people know about us and can help us find our dogs their perfect forever homes!

We'll do another post at the end of the year looking back on the goals we set and what we achieved but for now - we'll be coming back to this post regularly to check back on our goals and keep us and our team on track!
